ReplyDeleteholy crap.
ReplyDeleteThe Evel Knievel style jump over that small coastline road no doubt led to the fuselage breakup. Luckily it was going slow enough by then not to be too destructive.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the cause will be either hydroplaning on the wet, ungrooved runway,a late touchdown or a combination of both.
AA also lost an aircraft in Little Rock, Ark. some years ago under similar circumstances.
